Having two beautiful daughters led to 10 years of being a full-time homemaker, during which time I designed and built two gardens from scratch for myself. After many compliments and requests for help, I decided to chase my dream.

As a former professional draughtswoman the thought of going back to the drawing board was appealing, this combined with years of practical gardening experience and an NVQ in Floristry, sealed my decision to return to college to study garden design.

I obtained the HNC in Garden & Landscape Design with distinction in 2006. Along with the theory, the course required practical work experience; I gained this by working at a nursery, voluntary gardening and design work.

The result of over three years hard work is Gardens 4 Living.

In 2007 I created one of my designs with Marshall Landscapes at the Royal Show, Stoneleigh Park. This garden won three awards including best in show.
